Meet our new director, RT Williams!
"I come from a musical family, and sang my first solo at the age of six in my parents' church, and have been performing in one way or another ever since. From college, I went into church work where I directed choirs of all ages. I also directed church drama departments and did the large, seasonal musicals, some of which involved 200 people. I have been involved in local theater: acting, directing, set design, costume design and construction.
I have always enjoyed quartet singing. In fact, I sing baritone in an a capella jazz quartet called "Half And Half". I got involved with barbershop when I started dating a fabulous red-headed bass from Grand Rapids named Leah. I was impressed to see everyone so committed to perfecting a musical craft. It was easy to get sucked in to their performances and I have never regretted a minute.
I was excited when Mid-Lakes accepted my application to direct and I am looking forward to seeing what all we can accomplish."
